Is your love tank full? Or maybe not? It’s a good question to ask when we’re inviting you to join us for 10 hours of worship. So what are you thinking now? Maybe what caught your eye was “We’re talking about worship and did you just ask me if I have a love tank?!’” Or perhaps what caught your eye was “Did you say ten hours of worship…? Nothing else but…. singing?” At this point some of us may need to go for a quick lie down.
Which brings me back to my first question – is your love tank full? Because what we are doing is something we don’t usually have time for or make time to do. We’re going to spend time adoring God. Not more, not less and nothing else. We’re going to lose ourselves in Him for a few hours. He will be our focus. This is a single minded pursuit to pour out ourselves in Him. We are coming together so we can adore.
Come for all ten hours. Come for just one. Come for as long as you can. It really isn’t about the time. It’s not about me. It’s not about you. It is not about us. This is all about Him. A time for God and to God and in God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Come as you are. If you sing, then sing. If you dance, then dance. If you paint, then paint. If you soak, then soak. Whatever you do – or don’t do – just come and adore. You may be surprised at what happens when you spend a day in the Son.
